A month of taming chaos, financial wizardry, and noble floofery.
April was a bit of a quiet one behind the scenes… but honestly, after the whirlwind of the last few months, a slower pace felt almost suspiciously luxurious.
One big milestone:
✨ The brand new LucidFox website finally went live! ✨
There was much celebration, virtual high-fiving, and at least one moderately embarrassing happy dance (no evidence, no crime).
The new site feels like the perfect embodiment of the LucidFox spirit—whimsical, bold, and ready to get things done without losing the spark of mischief that makes it all fun. It was a journey of taming the creative chaos: wrangling all the scattered ideas, polishing up the rough bits, and building something that genuinely feels like me, but in website form.
On the content front:
I had one of my usual (and wonderful) brainstorming sessions with my AI sidekick, ChatGPT.
Sometimes, when my ADHD brain wants to chase squirrels and start seventeen new projects before breakfast, I call in some digital backup.
During one of these strategy sessions, ChatGPT casually referred to me as a “chaos goblin”… and honestly, I’ve never felt so seen.
I’m proud to announce that Chaos Goblin is now my unofficial job title. Business cards and possibly a tiny goblin mascot pending.
In local wildlife (and by wildlife, I mean slightly rude neighbourhood cats) news
A cat we’ve affectionately nicknamed Grumplefloof has taken up residence in the big planter where I’m trying (emphasis on trying) to grow a sea of wildflowers.
Grumplefloof, true to his name, grumbles while he eats and then promptly flops onto the delicate baby seedlings for a luxurious sun-drenched nap.
He is, without a doubt, living his best life. The seedlings are… trying their best.

Also, in Adulting Wins™ this month:
🎉 Financial Year End was a total breeze thanks to FreeAgent.
I can’t recommend them enough if you’re a freelancer or small biz owner who wants to spend way less time sobbing into spreadsheets.
(If you fancy giving them a try, [here’s my referral link] – bonus points if you picture me waving a tiny goblin banner in encouragement.)
And finally, in the realm of chaotic but deeply important side quests:
🎲 While brainstorming for another project (because one idea always spawns seven), we accidentally created a brand new D&D character…
Meet our magical raccoon warlock: a scrappy, mischievous little creature blessed with WiFi powers.
His patron? None other than The Cloud itself. (Yes. That Cloud.)
Armed with magical connection powers and an endless thirst for shiny objects (and snacks), he’s ready to adventure across realms both digital and mystical.
Nef even whipped up a visual for him—because obviously, once you invent a WiFi-fuelled raccoon warlock, you must commit fully to the bit.
Honestly, he’s the spirit animal for LucidFox: a little bit chaotic, a little bit brilliant, and always somehow online.
