March has been a cocktail of productivity, chaos, and me staring at my screen wondering why Microsoft Teams exists. Also, a hydrangea incident may have accidentally turned me into a plant parent (again). Here’s what’s been happening behind the screens this month:
The Garden Chronicles 🌿
Spring cleaning isn’t just for homes—it’s for gardens, too. Most of the gardening got done, though I may have accidentally pruned my hydrangea a little too aggressively. Oops. The silver lining? I now have a baby hydrangea potted up next to my thriving succulents, because apparently I’m in the plant rescue business now. Meanwhile, my rebellious jade plant has finally stopped its emo phase and decided to grow properly—turns out, ignoring gravity was not a solid long-term life plan.
The succulents all seem to be doing well; I’m just waiting on them getting big enough to arrange in a little planter I got during the Amazon prime day deals
Project Spotlight 🖥️
This month’s big project? Moving a charity client from an old, sluggish Elementor site to a sleek, dynamic-data-powered Bricks site. It’s like giving their website a fancy new outfit, but one that actually fits and doesn’t randomly fall apart when you try to use it.
Tech & Tools 🧠
No groundbreaking new tools this month, but I have been tinkering with the idea of creating my own AI assistant. Because, clearly, I don’t have enough projects on my plate. But imagine—an AI trained to help me with blog posts, case studies, and social media content. My very own digital minion. The dream.
Microsoft Teams = Social Battery Drain 💻
You know what drains my soul faster than a bad internet connection? Long Microsoft Teams meetings. After one particularly lengthy call, I found myself questioning all my life choices. If anyone has hacks for surviving these energy-sucking vortexes, please, for the love of all things caffeinated, share them.
Sims 4 & Tiny House Obsession 🏡
In my free time (because apparently I have that?), I’ve been knee-deep in my Sims 4 addiction again. There’s just something so satisfying about building tiny houses—kind of like web design, but without clients asking why their tiny digital home takes more than three seconds to load. Pure bliss.
Health & The Road to Feeling Better 🩺
On a more personal note, this month has been a bit of a rollercoaster. I’ve been dealing with hemiplegic migraines, which are stress-triggered and had started to bring on depression and a serious case of I-don’t-want-to-do-anything. But there’s hope! I finally saw an amazing doctor who actually took me seriously, went through my case notes in detail, and got me back on the medications that worked for me before. It’ll take a few weeks, but fingers crossed, I’ll be back to my usual chaos-fueled self soon.
Coming Up 🚀
The LucidFox redesign is still on track to be done by mid-April, which means soon you’ll get to see the new, improved, and still-very-foxy version of my site. Exciting times ahead!
That’s a wrap for March! What have you been up to? Any gardening mishaps, tech rabbit holes, or Sims 4 obsessions to share? Drop a comment—I’d love to hear!
